Marbled Paper Testing with Amazing Results

I have been doing paper marbling for years but came across this most amazing new marbling product that works on so many different substrates. With this amazing product I have marbled frames, a helmet, planters and even pink flamingos. The product is made by a company called Marabu and the product is called Easy Marble, and boy is it EASY!

My favorite thing to marble is paper, why? Because I am a self proclaimed paper nerd, that’s why. I set my tray of water out with all the different colors of Marabu Easy Marble along with multiple types of paper. I used Strathmore Artigan which is black. I used Strathmore Drawing Paper, Strathmore Printmaking paper, Strathmore Charcoal Paper, Strathmore Mixed Media Cards, some watercolor paper, Yupo Paper and generic handmade papers. I had so much fun trying all the different types of paper. Below are the results, some better than others.

The papers below are Strathmore Black Artigan with Gold, Silver, Green, white and light blue Marabu marbling products. I really love how they turned out and can’t wait to do more.

This next round of images is from Strathmore Printmaking Papers. I am really happy how these turned out. I used color as well as silver metallic marbling ink.

In the images below, I used generic handmade paper cards as well as Strathmore Mixed Media Cards. What a fun thing to make hand marbled cards to send to your friends and family. I love getting and giving letters and what better way than to make and or decorate cards. I used bright colors and some metallics, I think they turned out pretty neat.

In this set of images I used charcoal paper, mixed media and drawing paper. These were my least favorites.

I also wanted to try using kraft paper, I had up-cycled some thin cardboard from my job and thought it could be cool when marbled. I really love how it turned out! I’d like to do more!

I had one sheet of Yupo paper because it’s very expensive, I only wanted to use 1 sheet and see how it turned out before I used more. It’s very bright and luminous. I really love it!
