The Beginning of my New Exercise Regime with FITBIT

I began this journey on May 25th with my new FITBIT and today is the start of week 2 of my course of exercising and diet. I have lost 7 pounds so far and feeling ok. I have walked over 70,000 steps each week, worked out everyday, taken 2 yoga classes per week and swam 1/2 mile 3x per week. I am feeling strong and know this is a very long road to loose all the weight I have put on this past 5 years.

5 years ago I had lost a total of 125 pounds (in 2 years) and was down to a size 10; I stopped working out and have gained 50 pounds over the past 5 years. I now realize that exercise and eating right must be a way of life for me. This is the only body I have and I want it to be healthy. I also have to say that I know the basics of what I should be doing with regards to loosing weight. I had previously hired a personal trainer to help me learn what I needed to be more efficient during a workout along with how to be safe. It’s important to consult your physician before embarking on any exercise program and it’s always my suggestion if this is your first time doing this – hire a trainer. It’s really important to learn to use exercise equipement correctly. I like the fitbit and all that it can do for me, I even have the app on my iPhone. I feel like this is a way for me to have a partner along with keeping me honest. With this fitbit you can “friend” people you know who also have the fitbit tracker which is another way of keeping motivated and helping your friends stay on track.

I lost sight of what was important to me, my health is more important than anything. I know it’s cliche but if you don’t have your health, you don’t have anything. I will keep you posted on my progress (both good and bad) and will be sharing pictures of my weight loss.
